August 27, 1943 retired Married 3 three yes In the last ten years, my husband and I have traveled to Europe, the British Isles, and Asia as well as traveling in the United States. We also became grandparents. We have been blessed with three sons and three grandsons. Two of our sons are married. We have made our home in the Saline area since the mid 70’s.

We have not been present at reunions since our 20th in 1981. Sadly, my husband Dave and I will not be able to join you for our 50th because we have a family wedding on October 1.

We will miss seeing old friends again. We wish you a very successful weekend. We would love to hear from you.

Thanks for all the excellent work on the website.

March 18, 1943 retired school teacher NA Married 2 I have 5 +1. 4 boys, ages 18, 13, 12, 11, and 5 and my bonus granddaughter is almost 20 yes I retired in 2005 from Warren Consolidated schools as a 4th grade teacher. Prior to that I was teaching at Hatherly Elementary, in Sterling Heights. I Chaired the Blue Ribbon committee, and in April of 2005, we were awarded the Blue Ribbon through the State of Michigan. It was fun. Upon retirement, I began babysitting for my special grandson, Gillan. He is my son's only child. It has been an interesting 6 years. He is a delight. But of course I watch the others very often too. Go to baseball games, hockey games, dance recitals, and all kinds of fun stuff. Oh yeah, Bob (my husband) and I love to go to the casino.
It's hard to believe that 50 years have passed since we graced the hallowed halls of Southeastern.  But, now we are getting together to recap 1/2 a century with folks that I know I'll never forget. Send Naida a MessageSend Naida a Message

July 11, 1943 Deputy Clerk/Case Administrator, US District Court Married 2 none yet No, but soon Where to start? Still the only girl in the class with the first name of Jimmie; gave serious consideration to changing it, but too much hassle to change it everywhere.

After SE, I attended Wayne State University, met my husband of 48 years through a fellow classmate, Mary Hunter, and then decided to get married instead of completing my education at that time. Worked for a few years before the babies arrived (actually they turned out pretty wonderful) and finally found time to concentrate on rejoining the work force. Took some more classes, and then entered the legal field. I am probably one of the few still working full-time, but plan on giving it up sometime next year.

I worked for a local attorney for 17 years as his paralegal before his retirement, then moved on to Federal Court, where I have been for the last 11 years as a member of the support staff for three federal judges. It is always interesting and there is never a dull moment in the Courts.

When I am not working, I love to play bridge, read, golf, attend aerobic classes and do creative work (knitting, quilting, cross-stitch, etc.) Unfortunately no grandchildren yet. My son in Chicago is still looking for that special someone and daughter is married living in Oklahoma City and so far, concentrating on her career. We moved around quite a bit with Tom's career (he is retired from K-Mart Corp after 37 years( and we have made some wonderful friends, so we consider ouselves very blessed to be in good health and good spirits at this time of our lives, AND most important, still having fun. It is too bad many of us couldn't have stayed in contact, but busy lives and varied paths have taken us in all sorts of directions.

Thanks to all of you who have worked so hard on this reunion. The website is phenomenal and the plans for the entire week-end sound just great.

June 20, 1943 Busy and more busy Married 3 6 Yes How is it possible to condense 50 yrs. into sentences on paper. Here goes!
I graduated from Wayne State University in 1965 and taught 1st grade in St. Clair Shores for 4 yrs.
Married my wonderful husband, Bill Partrite, in 1966. He taught school, at that time, at Carstens Elementary in Detroit. Bill grew up on the west side of Detroit and went to Central High School. We met while substitute teaching and it was definitely love at first sight!
After two visits to Santa Barbara, CA on summer vacations,in 1967 and 1968, we were hypnotized by the Santa Barbara area and it's ocean/mountain location. We looked at each other and said - "let's move to California." So in 1969 off we came in our brand new VW Bug - I was pregnant with our first son. We have been in California ever since - now 42 yrs. We lived in Southern California - Santa Barbara, then Ventura until 2000.
Our three kids all moved to Northern California to attend graduate school programs - oldest son chef school in San Francisco at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, daughter graduated dental hygiene school in Sacramento and youngest son graduated from University of California San Francisco Dental School in San Francisco. They all married and stayed in northern California so Bill and I decided to move north to Folsom, California (just east of Sacramento on way to Lake Tahore- to be closer to kids and grandkids. Our sons work in San Francisco and daughter in Folsom. We are a two hr. drive from San Francisco and go at least once a month.
Bill and I sold residential real estate after moving to California and made that our career never teaching school in California. We love working with people and were a husband/wife team and owned our own Century 21 real estate office.
We have always loved to travel and have been lucky to travel the world going to China, Singapore, Malasia, Hong Kong, Budapest, London, Paris, all parts of Italy, Copenhagen, Germany, Belgium and Hawaii many times as well as the Caribbean many times. I cannot leave out New York City - the best.
I love to garden, babysit grandchildren, hang out with friends, go to the gym and do yoga, weights and machines to try and keep strong and fit. My brother, Bruce, still lives in Grosse Pointe Woods. Bruce was in the first graduating class at Finney High Schoolo. Bill's brother lives in West Bloomfield and his other brother moved to Southern Califonia in 1978. We do not get to Detroit too often - try to get everyone to come out here.,
So sorry I will miss reunion as we booked a Canada, New England cruise last October with sail dates of September 25-October 9.
I will be thinking of the fun time you are having and hope to see many photos after the event.
HAVE FUN EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

December 29, 1942 Retired Committed Relationship
So hard to believe 50 years has passed so quickly.  After working in California for 25 of my working years, I retired in 2007 and relocated to Chandler, AZ which is a suburb southeast of Phoenix.

Life is good and I am glad to still be around to remember the many fond memories of my Detroit years.

In response to the question, "What's your medium?", my answer is:"almost anything,my challenge and pleasure is to elevate and celebrate ordinary, strange, and or discarded objects which cross my path. Some images of my work can be found on my art group's website listed above.

I'll close with my favorite bumper sticker: " When the power of love is greater than the love of power, then the world shall know peace".
